Volunteer Driver Documents
Although we strive for bus transportation, at times it is not possible. We are so grateful for parents willing to drive. If you can volunteer below is the paperwork and process we need all parent drivers to complete and send to hss@sd48.bc.ca
Outlined below is the three-step process to follow to be able to drive as a parent volunteer. Additionally, there is a Volunteer Consent/Medical Form to be completed and submitted (attached).
Step 1: Criminal Record Check (valid for 2 years)
- Go to https://justice.gov.bc.ca/criminalrecordcheck
- input Access Code: 2Q9PXWHYBQ
- This will be sent directly to the school.
The CRC is time sensitive because it can take several weeks to complete, so if they could be completed as soon as possible that would be fantastic.
Step 2: Vehicle Insurance Papers (valid for 1 year or experation of insurance)
Photocopy of insurance papers with minimum $3 million third party Liability, sent to hss@sd48.bc.ca or given to teacher sponsor to pass on to our clerical staff to keep on file.
Step 3: Driver’s Abstract (valid for 1 year)

- For getting driver’s licences outside of B.C., car share memberships, and school volunteering applications
Thank you very much for your consideration to volunteer and support of HSS Athletics. By completing the Volunteer Driver Consent, CRC, Driver’s Abstract, and Insurance Copy, you are making yourself available to transport student-athletes to and from events. It does not mean you will always be required, simply that you can, if needed – thank you for that.
